Cleo M. (McKee) Hehe, 88, died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital Beech Grove. She was a resident of Indianapolis.

She was born May 3, 1914, in Greene County. Her parents were Charles and Pearl (Dishman) McKee. She married Charles Kenneth Hehe on Jan. 26, 1973. He preceded her in death Aug. 20, 2000. Survivors include two sons, Charles B. Byers of Mesa, Ariz., and Phillipp S. Byers of Springville; a stepdaughter, Cindy L. Sheffer of Lewisville; three stepsons, John M. Hehe of Huntington, Dennis A. Sheldon of Indianapolis and Ronnie Chitwood of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Byers; two brothers, Dale and Charles Donald McKee; and four sisters, Ione Thompson, Dorothy Clampitt, Helen McBride and Patricia Holmes.

She was employed by L. Fish Furniture Co. as an inventory clerk and bookkeeper. Previously she was employed by the former Reliance Manufacturing Co. in Bedford.

She was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene.

A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Southside Church of the Nazarene. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Indianapolis and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Byers Cemetery in Springville.
