Dr. Robert Addison Gollier, 70, Ottawa, died Sunday, June 3, at a Ottawa hospital.
He was a physician and surgeon at Ottawa from June 1939 until he retired in 1973.
He was born Sept. 22, 1913 at Cedar Vale, the son of Frederick Albert and Wanda Gertrude Newman Gollier. He graduated from Paola High School, the Univ. of Kansas and in 1937 from KU School of Medicine. He was an intern at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., and completed his residency at General Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ransom Memorial Hospital medical staff, the Franklin County Medical Society, and was a former member of the Ottawa Board of Education, all at Ottawa. He was also a member of the Kansas Medical Society and the Am. Med. Ass'n.
He married Nellie Marshall Barnhill June 27, 1938, at KC Mo. She survives. A daughter, Jane Marshall Gollier, died in 1965.
Other survivors include two sons, Dr. Bud Gollier, Ottawa and Fred A. Gollier, North Kansas City, Mo. and four grandchildren.
