Michael Mitrisin/Mittrein,80, of 1000 Peace Street, Hazleton, died late Monday night at Hazleton, General Hospital.
Born in Highland, he was the son of the late John and Mary(Baka) Mitrisin.
He was a member of the St. John Greek Byzantine Catholic Church, Hazleton, the parish's Holy Name Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 589,Hazleton.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He was employed by the Hazleton City Authority in it's industrial department before retiring.
Surviving are a brother, John, Vineland, New Jersey.; sisters, Anna Paisley, Drums and Mrs. George (Margaret)Smolko, Baltimore, Md and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 8:30a.m., Thursday from the Frank Bonin Funeral Home,Inc; 542 N. Wyoming St. Hazleton.
The Divine Liturgy with the Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John B.C. Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 7-9Pm. A Parastas will be held at 8 p.m.
