Funeral services are being held today, March 19, 2003, with graveside services to follow, at 4:30 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, for Richard I. Alexander, 42, who passed away March 15, in Tulsa, OK.
Richard was born February 19, 1961, to parents, R.L. & Glenna M. Williams Alexander, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Richard grew up in Concord, CA, graduating from Ygnacio Valley High School in Concord, CA, in 1979. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma, in 1984, with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and was a registered professional Engineer in the state of California. On November 19, 1988, Richard married Gayla Dawn Groves, in Bakersfield, CA. He had worked for Global Marine Drilling Corp. and Chevron USA in Bakersfield, CA and Midland, TX. He presently was employed by KSC Energy, Inc. of Tulsa, OK, for the past three years. He was an active member of the Broken Arrow Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Gayla; and their 3 children, daughter, Evynn and sons, Josiah and Jeremy, all of the home in Tulsa, OK; parents, R.L. and Glenna Alexander of Whitesboro, TX; and brothers, Geary Alexander and Glen Alexander, both of Houston, TX.
