Served as a Private in Co. H, 20th Georgia Regiment, Benning's Brigade, CSA - Enlisted July 10, 1861, Montgomery Co., GA, by Capt. Smith. Wounded in thigh Sept. 30, 1864. Furloughed Oct. 13, 1864, unable to return to service. Drew disability pension.
