Rodney Darrell Stinebaugh died at his home in Goldendale, on Nov. 17, 2011, at the age of 69, with Zoe the cat, faithfully by his side.
He was born April 24, 1942 in Ellensburg. Rodney was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1964. Rodney married Iva Woolsey on Feb. 16, 1969, in White Salmon. He worked at the aluminum plant in Goldendale for more than 30 years, retiring when it closed.
He loved sports, particularly baseball, and also enjoyed crossword puzzles, tinkering with things, traveling with his family and his dog, Cynda Sally.
Survivors include his wife Iva Stinebaugh of Goldendale; daughters Lora Hites of Goldendale, and LaDonna Stinebaugh of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren, Royal, Chen, and Justin.
He was preceded in death by his son, Austin, who died at six months.
At his request, there will be no services. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements.
