Mrs. Herman (Agnes) George died Wednesday night, November 21, 1973 in St. Joseph's Home where she resided since 1966. Mrs. George, a founder of the Priscilla Club in 1935, was a member of First Lutheran Church.
She was born December 1, 1880 in Cedarville, the daughter of John and Polly (Garman) Springman. On January 31, 1900 she was married to Herman George in Freeport. He died March 25, 1970, two months after they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Doris) Brinkmeier of Pearl City, and Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Rees of Freeport; a son, Karl of Freeport; 11 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchidren. She was also preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and three sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Walker Mortuary. The Rev. Nels Bengtson, pastor of First Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the mortuary. A memorial fund has been established.
