Mabel was a decendent of John Morton the signer of the Declaration.
Buried on top is her is Great Gandson Eric Frans Bergstrom 12/9/1987.
She never could talk about her son Nathan , who was killed in Korea...she would always change the subject...and I didn't push.
She had the greatest laugh, and even into her old age..she would be talking normal to you...all of a sudden get that "twinkle" in her eye and shout out "bet I can beat ya!" and take off running (and she usually did beat us!)
Medina Co. Gazette: Mabel D. McDonald, 75, of Chippewa Lake, died Thursday, April 7, 1983, at Akron City Hospital. Born in Chippewa Lake, Mrs. McDonald lived her entire life in Medina County. She was a home-maker and a member of the Gold Star Mother's Club. Mrs. McDonald is survived by her son, Donald ; daughters, Roberta Humbel and Patt Kwas ; sister Harriett Harper , all of Chippewa Lake; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service; 2:30 p. m., Sunday, Waite and Son Memorial Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. The Rev. Fay Botten will officiate. Private family burial, Monday, Westfield Center. Visiting hour: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m., Saturday at the funeral home.
