Raymond J. Hubenak, 64, a retired U.S.D.A. meat inspector, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, in Bedford.
Funeral: 3 pm Tuesday at Shannon North Funeral Chapel. Committal service: Following the funeral in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitaion: 6 to 8 pm, Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials: S.P.J.S.T. Lodge 92 Building Fund, c/o 3217 Lubbock Avenue, Fort Worth 76109.
Raymond Hubenak was born Sept. 14, 1933, in Fort Worth, to Richard and Marie Krivanek Hubenak Sr. He was a lifelong Fort Worth area resident. Mr. Hubenak graduated from North Side High School in 1951, and served in the Army in Germany in the late 1950s. Following his military service, Mr. Hubenak received his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Mr. Hubenak worked at the Swift and Company plant in the beef boning department for more than 20 years until the plant closed. Mr. Hubenak then went to work with the United States Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector and retired after 20 years of service.
Mr. Hubenak was a 50-year member of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge 92. He lived on the Hubenak property in Watauga from 1958 to 1984. His family will remember him as a loving brother and uncle who cared deeply for his family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard F. Hubenak, Jr. and nephew, Richard Hubenak III.
Survivors: Sister, Martha Durham and husband, Dick; nieces, Pam Durham and Debbie Hubenak; nephews Jon Durham and Charlie Durham; great-nephews: Paxton Davies, Dustin Harrison and Jackson Durham, all of Fort Worth; and great-nieces: Lauren Durham of Forth Worth and Heather Hubenak of Buffalo, NY.
