ALBANY — Bobby Kimbrell, 56, of Columbus, GA, died Wednesday, December 4, 2003, in Columbus, GA, following a lengthy illness.
The funeral service will be Saturday, 2:30 PM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with interment in Oakview Cemetery in Albany, GA. The Rev. Finbarr Stanton will officiate.
An Albany, GA, native, Bobby had lived in Columbus since 1978, and was a salesman with AFLAC. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, graduated from Albany High School in 1965 and was also a graduate of the University of Georgia. Her was preceded in death by his parents, Walter R. (Bob) Kimbrell and Theresa Brosnan Kimbrell.
Survivors include three daughters, Shannon Shumate and her husband, Ray of Atlanta, Katie Kimbrell of Athens and Allison Kimbrell of Columbus; one brother, John B. Kimbrell and his wife, Debbie of Columbus; five sisters, Peggy Kimbrell of Rabun Gap, GA, Mary Theresa Kimbrell of San Anselmo, CA, Terry Ann Barbaree and her husband, Dan of Columbus, Kathleen Towson and her husband, Eddie of Worth County, GA, and Cecelia K. Martin and her husband, Charlie of Aspen, CO; nieces and nephews.
