Chas. Wise Killed
Former Parkersburger Badly Crushed While at Work in Cleveland R.R. Yards.
A telegram was received here late Friday afternoon from the authorities in Cleveland that a young man named Charles Wise, employed in the railroad yards at that place, met with an accident earlier in the day in which he was badly crushed and otherwise injured, which resulted in his death shortly afterward, and that he was supposed to belong in this city, and requesting that his relatives be notified.
The message came to T.J. Helmick who at once made inquiries and from the description it was the belief that it was Charles Wise of this city, known familiarly among his companions as " Rabbitt " Wise, who had been a resident of this city for a number of years but left here only a few months ago.
His brother, Will Wise, immediately got into communication with the authorities in Cleveland and from the description furnished of the dead man he was satisfied it was his brother. He left on the night train and will bring the remains here for internment.
The deceased who was about 40 years of age is survived by a brother and two sisters.
