J. Richard Felix
GETTYSBURG J. Richard Felix, 77, died Monday, January 28, 2008, at the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village. He was born July 17, 1930, in Adams County, the son of the late C. Edgar and Carrie (Luckenbaugh) Felix. Mr. Felix was a life member of Mt. Joy Lutheran Church in Gettysburg and Barlow Fire Co., where he was very active. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 202 in Gettysburg. He was an 1947 graduate of Gettysburg High School and a Veteran of the Korean conflict, serving with the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Felix was associated with The Adams County National Bank for 45 years, retiring in 1992. He worked for Adams County Motors in Gettysburg for 15 years, after his retirement from the bank. Service will be Thursday, January 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Joy Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, with his pastor, the Rev. Faye Snyder, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg with full Military Honors provided by the Adams County Allied Veterans Association. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. The Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg is handling the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Robert Kitzmiller, Matt Sentz, John Krichten, Lee Ramsburg, Ronald Hankey and Robert Felix. Mr. Felix is survived by a sister, Charlene Clewell of Camp Hill and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elwood Felix and a sister, Margaret Sentz.
