Robert L. Beyer, 81, of Vineland, N.J., died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at SJH Hospice Inpatient Center.
Bob was born on Jan. 27, 1929 in Tyrone, the son of the late Iva and Charles Furman Beyer.

He married his high school sweetheart, Dolores Seeds, who preceded him in death.
Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea from 1951 to 1953.
Before moving to Vineland, Bob and Dolores resided in Malvern. He worked for Johnson Matthey for 37 years.
Bob's favorite saying was "if it's not fun, don't do it!" He loved being with people and always enjoyed a good laugh with his buddies.
As a young man, Bob played in both a bowling and a softball league. He used his boat, the Dory Ann, for both fishing and waterskiing.
In later years he enjoyed gardening, horse races and cheering on the Phillies, and he rarely missed his regular golfing dates.
As the last living relative of his generation, he took great delight in his title of "Beyer Family Patriarch."
Uncle Bob had a smile and laugh that would light up any room and he is lovingly remembered by his five nieces and nephews. Every holiday, vacation, joy and sorrow was shared with Uncle Bob and Aunt Dee.
Surviving are Bob Beyer and Sue of Mt. Airy, Md., Sue Johnson and Roger of Sunbury, Judy Baily and Leon of West Chester, Jim Beyer and Janice of Turnersville, N.J., and Cathy Ore of Port Norris N.J. Bob is also survived and will be greatly missed by one brother, Lee Beyer and Becky of West Chester; as well as 11 great-nephews and great-nieces.
Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Howard E. Beyer.
