Floyd Laviness

Mr. Floyd Laviness, was born, April 10, 1878, near Bradford, Penn., died at his home in Wildhorse, April 14, 1928, age 50 years and four days.

He was united in marriage to Miss Merlie Belle Bird, October 29, 1899 and to this union were born four children; One daughter, Wenona Huntsinger, of Wildhorse; Three sons, Raymond, Donivan, Melvin. Raymond passed to that great beyond at the age of seventeen and was buried at Drumright.

There is left to mourn his departure, his wife, Mrs. Merlie Bell Laviness, two sons, Donivan and Melvin of Drumright. His only daughter, Mrs. Wenona Huntsinger, of Wildhorse, his aged father, M. F. Laviness, of Drumright, three sisters, Mrs. Irene Mack, Mrs. Cora Vanory, of Drumright, and Mrs. Grace Wethrom, of Lima, Ohio.

Mr. Laviness was a member of the K. F. P. lodge, No 289 for the past eleven years. Had taken the Intered Apprintice, and Fellow Craft, of the Masonic, lodge, and was a member of the I. O. O. F. for a number of years.

Funeral services was conducted by Rev. J. A. Nayle, assisted by Rev. H. C. Mears, from Wildhorse, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church and interment was made in the Hominy cemetery.
