Valoris W. "Jim" Yingling, 66, of R.R. 1, Three Springs, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2000, in Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, after a long illness.
Born Nov. 14, 1933, in Orbisonia, he was the son of the late Ralph J. and Gladys L. Secrist Yingling. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Waterfall, where he had been Sunday school superintendent. Mr. Yingling was employed as a council representative for Western Pennsylvania Regional District, Council of Carpenters Union 616, Chambersburg. For 12 years, he served on the Southern Huntingdon County Board of School Directors. He was a past master of Cromwell Lodge 572, Free and Accepted Masons, Orbisonia, and from 1956 to 1958 served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Wanda M. Drenning Yingling, whom he married on July 4, 1958, in Hustontown; a son, Bryan of Three Springs; two daughters, Sonja Parkinson of Jeannette and Tonya Gutshall of Three Springs; and six grandchildren. Burial will be Saturday in Center Cemetery, near Hustontown.
