|Death: ||Dec. 1, 1894|
Mrs. Nora Cherry died at her home on Bluff Dale, Saturday,
December 1. The funeral took place on Monday from the Lutheran Church and was largely attended. Mrs. Cherry was a young married lady, 19 years of age. During her sickness, which lasted two weeks she suffered intensely, but death came and relieved the lady and she is now at rest. In the death of Nora we feel that the vicinity has lost a most kind and loving neighbor and one more home has been made desolate. Our sympathy goes out deeply to the bereft young husband whose bosom companion has been taken from him after only one short year of married life
From the Zanesville Courier December 1, 1894.
Nora was the daughter of my great-grandfather Winfield Myers
(he was using the last name of Mayers when she was born) and his first wife, Margaret Rider. Although Nora was not mentioned in either her father or husband's obituaries, she is not forgotten.
