Frederick "Fred" Copeland passed away in Pensacola Florida at the age of 77. Fred was born in Montgomery Alabama on December 31, 1938 to Frederick Sr. and Grace Copeland. He was a very loving and caring father and grandfather and loved by all that knew him.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1979 after 24 years of service and continued to work for many years as a nurse. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf with his son, watching ALABAMA FOOTBALL, birdwatching and taking care of his flower garden.
He was preceded in death by his father Fred Sr., his mother Grace, and his wife Bess. He is survived by his sister Francis, son Ken, daughter-in-law Shalla, daughter Dawn, son-in-law Ryan, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Fred will be laid to rest, with full military honors, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, via graveside service, on September 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held a Faith Chapel (South) at 100 Beverly Pkwy in Pensacola on September 29, 2016 from 12:30 – 1:15.
