Judith Prince 65 of Big Spring died on Wednesday May 27, 2009 in a Lubbock hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday June 02, 2009 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Ralph Anderson minister of 11th and Birdwell Lane Church of Christ officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00PM to 8:00PM Monday at the funeral home.
Judith was born on November 03, 1943 in Juneau, Alaska to Homer J. and Sassy Merriott. Judith married Andrew Prince on December 27, 1964 in Stamford, Texas.
Judith was raised in Stamford and graduated from Stamford High School. Judith received her Bachelor and Master of Education degrees from the University of Mississippi at Oxford. Judith came to Big Spring in 1980. Judith taught elementary school for 32 years in Mississippi, Snyder, Germany, Ft. Bragg North Carolina and retiring from Coahoma. Judith was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband Andrew Prince of Big Spring; one son Andrew Scott Prince and wife Kristen of Plainfield, New Hampshire; one daughter Julianna Sasser Horton and husband Thomas of Midland; 6 Grandchildren: Cameron and Colin Prince and McKenzie, Weldon, Jordan and Hannah Horton; and two sisters Pat Murphy of Borden County and Linda Gist of Salado.
