ROBERT EUGENE MILLER, Was born in Davenport in `1947, the son of SELMA MABEL DENKER, Daughter of Hans and Ernestine Denker of Eldridge, Iowa, (widow of ERNEST THEODORE SCHLOTFELDT) and PAUL ALBERT MILLER, Son of Paul P. Miller and GENEVA ASHWORTH of WEST DES MOINES (Valley Junction), Iowa. Robert is remembered as a loved young half-brother by FAY ERNEST SCHLOTFELDT. Robert Graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines, where he played football and was active in the Boy Scouts of America. He attended Iowa State University with an interest in Microbiology and also the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
The unfortunate neurodisease that took his father and grandmother (Huntington's) afflictied Robert earlier than normal for this neural disorder and he spent the last few years of his life in the West Des Moines care center under the watchful eye of his mother. His friends were many during his active years and his was missed by all. His father is buried at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines with his parents.
