When Henry used to go fishing, he would buy a bag of clams and used them as bait. The leftovers he would eat.

Around 1946, Henry, Lucile and their kids left for a trip around the country. They stayed in a cabin one night and camped out the rest of the trip. Fred and David missed the last and first two weeks of school.

Lucile passed away on July 5, 1953 due to stomach cancer. She had gone in for surgery but the doctors were unable to do anything so they put her on medication. The medication failed to work and she passed away. She was buried in Pine Hill Cemetery.
