Daniel " Dan" Hersey, 67, of
Wellborn, died Thursday, Dec. 13
following a short illness. Mr. Hersey
was a member of the Wellborn Baptist
Church where he served as a deacon, a
member of the Wellborn Masonic
Lodge n.o. 13 where he served as Wor-
shipful Master in 1978, a member of
the Scottish Rite in Jacksonville, a
member of Morocco Temple of
Jacksonville, an Army veteran of
World War II and was a retired
foreman for the Florida Glass and Mir-
ror Co.
Mr. Hersey is survived by his wife.
Doris B. Hersey of Wellborn; three
daughters. Marie Zarzycki of St.
Augustine, Diane Hersey and Evelyn
Carter, Live Oak; one brother, Jesse
Hersey of Plant City; three sisters,
Louise Hester of Jacksonville, Ruby
Murray and Rosa Lee Hilliard, both of
Plant City; 11 grandchildren also sur-
vive.
Funeral services for Mr. Hersey
were conducted Saturday Dec. 15 at 2
p.m, in the Wellborn Baptist Church
with Rev. D.O. Goss officiating, Inter-
ment with Masonic Rites followed in
the Wayfair Primitive Baptist Church
Cemetery, Statenville, Ga.
Daniels Funeral Homes, Inc. of Live
Oak was in charge of all arrangements.
Active pallbearers were Pasco Jar-
vis, Wilmer Cribbs, Tommy Andrews,
Raymond Key, W.H. Paramore,
Willard Brannan. Honorary were
Gerofe Skinner, Jr,Gerald Carter,
Winston Rogers, Rudy Fisher, John
Hutcherson, B.J. Hester. Leonard
Stand.
