In 1890 he married Venus Otoupalik of David City, Nebraska. Shortly after, they moved to Butte, Silver Bow Co., Montana where he continued to be a tailor until his retirement.
In 1903 his 5 year old son, Winfield, died of pneumonia and his wife, Venus, died 2 months later of a "broken heart" her obituary states. Then in 1918 his remaining son, Jerry Joseph, was killed in action by machine gun fire in the Meuse-Argonne in France 2 weeks before the end of W W 1. His only remaining child was Victoria Clair Nedved. She married James William Watts in 1915 and lived in Portland, Oregon at the time of Anton's death.
