MRS.SARAH LEVINS DIES AT NORTH SCRANTON HOMEMrs. Sarah A. Levins a prominent North Scranton resident,died yesterday at her home, 301 Putman street, after a short illness. The funeral will take place Monday morning with a highrequiem mass at 9:30 o'clock at Holy Rosary .Interment lie in Cathedral Cemetery .Mrs. Levins is survived by the following children: James of Detroit, Mary, Irene and George, at home: two sisters, Mrs. James McFadden, of Jersey City, N. J. Mrs William Judge,of this city, and one brother , James Saltry. of Scranton, Mrs.Levins was a sister of the late Sergeant John Saltry.
HUNDREDS ATTEND FUNERAL OF MRS. SARAH LEVINS TODAY Many were present this morning at the funeral of Mrs. Sarah Levins of Putman street. She was one of this section's most highly respected and well known residents and long before the time of this funeral hundreds of people from every walk of life and from all sections of the city and valley visited the home.Surrounding the casket were many beautiful floral pieces.Shortly after 9 o'clock the funeral procession left the family home for Holy Rosary church where a solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated by the Rev. Hugh Kelly. Rev. P. A.Hopkine, of Old Forge, was deacon and Rev. William Farrell was subdeacon. Burial was in the Cathedral cemetery.The casket bearers were Frank Saltry, Prof. M.J. Costello,George Kelly, J. P. Manning, Howell Davis, and M. J. Coleman. The flower bearers were: Willian Judge, John McGrath, Peter Maloney and Peter O'Neil.
