Charles Franklin Weiker, 86, 705 Ohio avenue, retired cutlery worker, died Saturday in Memorial hospital, where he had been admitted July 1.
Mr. Weiker was a lifelong resident of Fremont. He was born August 11, 1884, son of Philip and Martha Laughinhouse Weiker. He married Edith Jones in Cleveland in 1902. She died in 1925.
Surviving are sons, Chester and Samuel, both of Fremont; Theodore, Painsville; daughters, Mrs. Marcellous (Beulah) Jelks, Mrs. Harriet Beal, Mrs. Rutlege (Mamie) Jones, all of Fremont; Mrs. Kenneth (Sarah) Howell, Painesville; Mrs. Margaret Minor, Cleveland, and Mrs. John (Edith) Thomas, Antwerp; a brother, Thomas, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Willey, both of Fremont. There are 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, three brothers and four sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Weller-Wonderly funeral home. The Rev. H.E. Sheffield of Warren AME church will conduct funeral services Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the mortuary with burial in Oakwood cemetery.
