WILLIAM M. SIMS
William M. Sims of Decatur died at 5:10 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Decatur and Macon County hospital. He was sixty-nine years old last April. His death was caused by dropsical trouble. He had been treated at the hospital since early last May.
Mr. Sims was born in Jasper county, April 14, 1885. For a number of years he had been engaged in the timber business in Jasper county. He and Miss Dora Spurgeon were married Sept. 6, 1883. She died in Decatur Oct. 20, 1921. He is survived by four children, Charles B. Sims, Miss Dorothy Sims and Mrs. D. Earl Keckley, all of Decatur, and Miss Ethel L. Sims of Havana. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Richard T. Sims and Mrs. Wilson L. Way of Newton, Marion t. Sims of Eaton, Colo., Mrs. Lulu Williams, Mrs. James Johnson and Mrs. D. C. Holt of Decatur and Mrs. George Raef of Chicago. The body was removed to the Monson undertaking establishment and prepared for burial, and friends may call there.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the chapel. The burial will be in the Sharon cemetery, west of Decatur.
