Mrs. August Quehl, 93, the oldest resident of Howards Grove-Millersville, died Monday noon at the hom eof her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Roepel.
The former Emelie chmidt was born March 25, 1876, near Plymouth, a daughter of the late Franz and Lena Fischer Schmidt.
She was married to August Quehl on Oct. 21, 1905. He died Aug. 20, 19051.
The couple resided in Howards Grove their entire married lives where Mr. Quehl was associated with the former R.L. Frome Manufacturing Co.
Mrs. Quehl also wa sthe oldest member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Howards Grove-Millersville, and a charter member and former treasurer of the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Theodore (Roma) Toepel of Howards Grove-Millersville.
