Arthur Emmett Scharf, 76, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, May 15 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; sons Bill (Kay) Scharf of Fort Dodge, and Brad Scharf of Fort Dodge, and daughters Roxanne Scharf of Fort Dodge, Dee (Kent) Fors of Fort Dodge, and Sandy (Doug) Gangstead of Goldfield, Iowa; grandchildren Cody and Logan Scharf, Mackenzie, Jacy and Neely Scharf, Hunter, Cierra and Chandler Fors, and Danae and Dustin Gangstead; brothers, Bruce (Marcia) Scharf of Perry, Iowa, Dean (Alice) Scharf of Lehigh, Iowa, and sisters include Phyllis (Colin) Demery of Phoenix, Ariz., and Colleen (Roger) Smith of Lehigh, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jennett Scharf; daughter Michelle Scharf; and brother Edwin Scharf.

Arthur Emmett Scharf was born August 15, 1931 in Fort Dodge to parents Arthur and Jennett (Pooler) Scharf. He attended school in Fort Dodge and then went to work at Tobin Pack, which then became Hormels, for over thirty years until its closing.

He was a member of the Eagle's Lodge and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, of which he held a number of church positions.

Memorials may be left to the family's discretion.
