Mr. Kushel was involved in the "Sears Houses" division. Some even think he was the one who came up with the idea of buying a house from a catalog.
Frank W. Kushel, Retired Sears Executive, Dies
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Frank W. Kushel, 510 North East.
Mr. Kushel died Friday in West Suburban hospital, after an illness of about 10 weeks. He was 80 years of age at the time of his death, and had been an Oak Park resident for the past 40 years.
Before his retirement in 1930, he was an executive serving as head of the building materials department of Sears, Roebuck and company.
He was a member of the Oak Park Country club.
Surviving are his widow, Anna Marshall Kushel; a sister, Mrs. Maude E. Waite, and two nephews, Robert and Donald Waite.
Services, with the Rev. Warren N. Clark, of River Forest Methodist church, officiating, took place at the Drechsler chapel, on Tuesday morning. Interment was at Forest Home cemetery.

Services for Frank W. Kushel, 510 N. East av., Oak Park, who died Friday in West Suburban hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the chapel at 203 S. Marion st., Oak Park. He was a retired executive of Sears, Roebuck & Co. He leaves his widow, Anna, and a sister.
