William H. Fisher was the son of Sampson D. and Catherine (Howell) Fisher. He married 1.) Mary Ann Starkey in Shelby County, Texas in 1860. After her death he married 2.)Mrs. Sophronia (Lawhorn) Smiley, 13 December 1888 in Panola County, Texas
There is confusion on his middle name. descendants of son Johnson Fisher state their family Bible shows the name as William Hudson Fisher. The descendants of son William Terry Fisher state his middle name was Henry. All official records only show William H Fisher
