McCRORY -- Dr. James Milton Huff, 80, of McCrory died Saturday, Dec. 6, at Conway Regional Health System at Conway.
He lived on a farm that was deeded to the Huff family in the original United States Land Grant in 1864. He graduated from Auburn University in 1946 with a degree in veterinary medicine. He ran a private practice for five years and worked for the USDA for 37 years as a large animal disease epidemiologist. He was a member of the McCrory United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Pat Cullum of McCrory, Jayme Huff of Burbank, S.D., and Kelley Stinnett of Siloam Springs; one son, Milton Huff of Conway; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Kelley Huff, and his parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McCrory First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steven Waggoner officiating. Burial will be in Fakes Cemetery at McCrory, under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Holder, Bobby Trotter, Eddie Rushing, Tony Holder, Bari Don Cain, Herbert Henson, Pete Wommack, Franklin Wright and Robert Jones.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to McCrory First United Methodist Church.
