Rev. Jim House and Rev. Finis Steelman officiated at funeral services July 13 for Ora D. Beck, 79, of Davis. Services were at Fox Funeral Chapel, and interment was in Green Hill Cemetery. Fox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Beck was born Jan. 13, 1908 at Dalhart, TX and died July 11 at Pauls Valley General Hospital. He had lived in Davis most of his life. Beck married Faye Bumgarner in 1929. He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy McMillan of Choctaw; a son, Billy Bob Beck of Lubbock, TX; five sisters, Lura Richardson of Memphis, TN, Ann Watters and Winnie Wolverton, both of Houston, TX, Eleanor Dubendorff of Placentia; CA, and Alder Webb of Teague, TX; a brother, Harlan Beck of Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A grandson, Rhett Beck, preceded him in death in 1979.
Pallbearers were Ralph Coppenbarger, Red Dunn, Randy7 Moore, Bill Sartin, Jeff Ayers, Buddy Mulkey, Charles Ayers and Kevin Jackson.
