She came to America in 1920 with her mother and three younger siblings. She lived in Altoona, Pennslyvania, where she met Antonio LaPorta. They married and eventually moved to Medina, New York and had 6 children. She had seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She loved peony flowers and sweets and playing cards with her husband, eldest daughter and son-in-law.
