DIED LAST MONDAY

Henry Dillman Passed Away at His Home in Roann at Advance Age of 86

Henry Dillman, father of our townsman, William Dillman, passed away at his home in Roann, Monday after a long period of sickness. In May he suffered a paralytic stroke from which he partially recovered, but recently he was stricken the second time and since that time had been sinking gradually until death relived him of his suffering.

He was born in Preble County, Ohio, August 14, 1823; departing this life at his home near Roann, January 10, 1910 aged 86 years, 4 months, and 27 days.

He came to Cass County, Indiana with his parents at the age of thirteen and two years later moved to Wabash County.

He married March 17, 1850, to Mary E. Aukerman, and their union was blessed with thirteen children --- nine sons and four daughters, two of whom died in infancy.

He united with the Church of the Brethren in 1856 and lived a consistent Christian life, leaves to mourn his death --- eight sons, three daughters, twenty-six grand-children, twelve great grandchildren, three sisters, besides many other relatives and friends.

The deceased was highly respected by all who knew him.

The funeral occurred Wednesday at Roann Church of which he was a member.
