Alvis Reece and Huldah Mackie had seven known chidren. She was buried under her maiden name. Alvis died in 1882 of tuburculosis. Their children were:Sarah Eunice Reece, Jennie Cordilia Reece, William Sherman Reece, Margarett Ann Reece, Charles Simon Reece, Joseph Claude Reece, Frankie May Reece.
I am very much interested in the families of these two girls. Eunice married Charles Yingst, Jennie married William Tetherow. Margarett married James Leander Acord.
Frankie May married Howard S. Lockwood. Charles married Harriet Thackery.

"Alvis came to Missouri from North Carolina with his wife's family to get away from the impending Civil War.
Alvis who had many relatives in the confederacy in North Carolina joined the 1st Missouri Calvary - a Union regiment.
