Robert Wayne Childers, 53, passed away June 23, 2012 after a lengthy illness.
He was born on February 28, 1959 in El Centro, California. His childhood was spent in El Centro and graduated from Central Union High School. After graduation he went into real estate development with his dad, The Robert L. Childers Co. He became involved with the building of sub-divisions.
Later, he relocated to San Diego then to Oregon. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing and took hunting trips to Canada, Alaska and Spain. He took fishing trips off the coast of Baja California. Robert was loved by many family and friends alike.
He was proceeded in death by his grandfather, Claude Childers and grandmother Gertrude Childers; grandfather, Coy (Kathryn) Wise and grandmother, Hestell Wise.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Powel Butte, Oregon; son, Robert Chad of San Marcos; daughter, Summer (Billy) Gonzalez; granddaughter, Isabella and grandson Issac Gonzalez of North Carolina; father, Robert Lee (Carol) Childers of Powell Butte, Oregon; mother, Lucy Childers of El Centro, brother David Childers of Bend, Oregon; sister, Peggy (Jeff) Garber of Imperial; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Interment was June 29, 2012 at Juniper Haven Cemetery Prineville, Oregon.
