Obituary:
Atlantic Daily Telegraph March 29, 1881 p. 4:
MRS. CAYWOOD, of Milford, universally known in that neighborhood as Grandmother Caywood, died on Sunday, aged 79 years. She ate her breakfast as usual on Sunday morning, after which she washed herself; then complained of being tired and lying down, fell asleep, and did not again awaken, her spirit passing into the other world peacefully and quietly. She had lived in the neighborhood where she died since 1858; and had been a member of the Baptist church many years. Seven children survive her, among them Alexander Caywood, at whose house she died.
