Abby was the youngest of the children born to William and Orpha (Sisson) Moorman. She was just a toddler when the family moved to Byron Center, MI, and she went to school in the area.
She was only 16 when Henry Lever returned from the Civil War, and they were married soon after. He was a druggist and a doctor.
They lived in several places in Grand Rapids, including:
20 Front St; 44 Canal; 90 Monroe; 194 Bridge, 225 S. Division, etc, moving almost every year.
After their daughter, Ada, was born, they settled in Newaygo, MI. Henry and Abby bought and operated the Eagle Drug Store in Fremont, Mi. and moved there.
Henry apparently died of a heart attack while in his boat, and fell overboard.
Abby remained in Fremont until her death in 1910.
