Fred A. Small, 88 of Adamson Street, Mount Vernon, died on October 2, 1990 in Knox Community Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born on July 28, 1902 in Parkersburg, W. Va., to Leonard and Mary (Scott) Small and had been a Knox Co. resident most of his life. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Hill Church and a former employee of the Lamb Glass Co. and Shellmar Packaging Co.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Maxine) Rudolph, Mrs. Fred (Coreta "Katie") Ballam and Mrs. Virgil (Norma Jean) Montgomery, all of Mount Vernon; a son, William Small of Howard; 23 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 1979.
Friends may call today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Dowds-Wiggins-Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor George Pangman will officiate. Burial will be in Mound View Cemetery.
