In Halifax County Virginia, there are numerous records of Zachariah as witness to will, deeds and transfers of property.

Per Clay County Missouri History:

In 1807 the family moved to Breckinridge Cty, Ky. Mary Tindall Everett died there in 1812.

In 1813 he married Mary Waltrip in Breckinridge Cty, KY.

In April 1818 they moved to Howard Cty, MO. In November 1818 they moved to Petit Saw Bottom which is in modern day Saline Cty, MO.

In 1821 they moved to Clay Cty, Mo and settle 3 miles below Liberty Landing.

Zachariah and two of his sons, Howard and Matthew are listed on the 1822 Tax Listing as first settlers of Fishing River Township, Clay Cty, MO.
