Mrs. Clarence Lamb Dies
Mrs. Clarence Lamb, a lifetime resident of Lyon County, died Wed. evening in St. Mary's Hospital. Mrs. Lamb whose home for many years was at 1021 Exchange St., had lived in recent months with a daughter,Mrs. Velma Wheat 929 Commercial St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Sat. in the Blair Colonial Mortuary. They will be conducted by Dr. Clare J. Hayes, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Americus Cemetery.
Mrs. Lamb was the former Minnie Proehl, daughter of Herman and Emilie Loginsland Proehl. She was born Nov. 5, 1884 in Reading, and married on March 23, 1910, in Emporia. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Snodgrass Circle of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church, and Orange Camp 58, Royal Neighbors fo America. Mrs. Lamb was preceded in death by her husband, who died Sept. 14th, 1965 and by two brothers, Carl and Bernard Proehl, and one sister, Emma Blahut. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Lucille) Kelsey, 1021 Exchange St., Mrs. John (Edna) Miller, Kansas City; and Mrs. Wheat; five brothers, William Proehl, Waverly; Ernest Proehl, Dunlap; Jacob Proehl, Leavenworth; Henry Proehl, Americus and John Proehl, Santa Barbara, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Otho (Louise) Lamb, Elsmore; Mrs. Otis (Hermania) Knight, Americus; and Marie Proehl, Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Marriage licenses have been issued by Probate Judge McCarty to the following: Clarence B. Lamb of Americus, and Minnie H. Proehl of Dunlap. Mr. Lamb and Miss Proehl were married by Judge McCarty.
