Bryant was born February 11, 1927, in Bentonia, Mississippi, to Franklin and Sarah Rebecca (Martin) Cargil.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Georgia Faye Cargil; daughter, Brenda and her husband, Gary Hill, of Diana; daughter, Janet and her husband, Butch Vineyard of Diana, and daughter , Joy and her husband Rod Taylor of Mineola. He is also survived by one sister, Sarah Bunt of Gilmer. Bryant had eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, and daughter, Rebecca Sue Cargil Turner.
Mr. Cargil retired from Marathon LeTourneau. He also worked for the State Department of Texas for several years. He was a WWII veteran, having served in Texas and Japan. He was an active member of Simmons Hill Baptist Church in Diana.
Pallbearers will be Bobby McDonald, Donny Porter, Buddy Stokely, Dub Clark, Mike Moore and Donny Traywick.
