Fred Kile, 61, 435 E. Sixth St., a retired city fireman, died at the Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis, at 10 p.m., Sunday. He had been ill for one year and died of complications.
Mr. Kile was born in Peru May 20, 1895 the son of Joseph and Mary (Mohr) Kile, and was a lifelong resident. He married Gladys Clark in 1923.
He was a member of St. Paul EUB Church and a veteran of World War I.
Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Lee Kennedy, Route 1, Peru; and Carol Kile, at home; one son, Richard, Kalamazoo, Mich.; one brother, Joe Kile, Peru; two sisters, Miss Emma Kile, Peru; and Mrs. John W. Killian, Peru; and four grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Drake-Flowers Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Charles G. Kramer officiating, assisted by the Rev. S. R. Moneymaker, State Chaplain of the Indiana Fireman's Association.
Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m., Wednesday.
