Bob Bogle
Birth: Jan. 16, 1934
Death: Jun. 14, 2009

Musician. He was a guitarist and founding member of the instrumental group The Ventures. Known for their unique sound, they had top forty hits with "Walk, Don't Run" (1960), "Perfidia" (1960) and the theme from the television series "Hawaii Five-O" (1969). Born in Wagoner, Oklahoma, Bogle formed the group along with fellow guitarist Don Wilson during 1958 in Tacoma, Washington. During the 1970's the group became an enormously successful international touring attraction, most notably in Japan. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.
