Pallbearers: Norman Robbins Sr., Dr. William Marrow, Frank Carvey, James Buckley, John Darden and W.D. Grimes.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of First National Bank of Fort Worth Retirees Association.
Memorials: the family respectfully declines flowers, however should friends desire, memorials may be given to the Organ Fund at Broadway Baptist Church; or to a charity of choice.
Ellis H. Boyd Jr. was born on May 5, 1918, in Fort Worth and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Central High School, now Paschal, attended TCU and continued banking education through the local chapter of the American Institute of Banking, which he served as president. He was a graduate of the School of Banking of the South at LSU.
Ellis Boyd was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a longtime member of Broadway Baptist Church, Ridglea Country Club, was a former member of the board of directors, was a member of the board of directors of the Lena Pope Home and was an avid golfer.
He was a retired senior vice-president and commercial loan officer of what was formerly the First National Bank and served as head of the correspondent banking department, where he made lasting friendships throughout Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Roxie Jenkins Boyd.
Survivors: Daughter, Roxanne Boyd Honea and her husband, Murph; and sisters, Priscilla Bearer and her husband, Lou, and Betty Pennebaker and her husband, Jim.
