Major League Baseball Player. He was the winner of the American League Rookie of the Year award in 1976 and second in the Cy Young Award vote after a record of 19-9. He went on to play four more years for the Detroit Tigers. His career record was 29 wins and 19 losses with an earned run average of 3.10. He became as much known for his on-the-field antics including "manicuring the mound" as for his pitching abilities. Despite his early potential, his career was cut short by injury and he never regained his early form.
