Patricia Marie Winslow, 40, 41 Brookdale Road, wife of Jody J. Winslow went into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Waterbury Hospital due to injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident.....Born in New Haven on Sept. 24, 1968, she was the daughter of Anthony and Marie DeFelice of South Meriden and had resided in Meriden most of her life and graduated from Platt High School, class of 1987. She was always singing and dancing, and was affectionately called "Pat" by her parents. She was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church in South Meriden......Besides her husband, she is survived by her two children, Brittney Marie Winslow and Eric Paul Winslow; two brothers, Anthony J. DeFelice and Joseph DeFelice, both of Meriden and mother-in-law, Jaclyn Winslow and her husband, Colman Varney of South Meriden. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Molly D'Andrea and grandfather, Joseph D'Andrea; and her husband's grandparents, Ceil and Paul Tino of Meriden....Patricia was an amazing, loving, mother, daughter, sister and wife. She had a love for fashion and decorating, a passion for cooking which she shared with others to express her love for her family with her famous dinner parties and get-togethers. She enjoyed day trips and musicals in the city, and had an amazing voice. Patricia was given the gift of humor and loved to make everyone around her laugh, which she did extremely well. She could walk into a room and it would light up like no other. Two of her best qualities would be her modesty and grace. She was so special because she was always willing to go above and beyond what was asked of her. Always reaching out to help. Never looking for anything in return, and what made it so special is she had no idea how much she taught all those around her. Patricia was and always will be the rock of her family and will be missed greatly each and every day, but her legacy and life will never, ever, be forgotten and her family will one day be reunited with this beautiful angel someday soon. RIP Patricia. ....The funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

MERIDEN - Patricia Winslow wasn't the type of person to draw attention to herself, but the former Brookdale Road resident is someone neighbors called a sweetheart and said always enjoyed life and had a smile on her face.
Winslow's husband, Jody Winslow, described her as "the rock of the family," and said life without her is going to be tough......"She always had just a bright perspective on life," Jody Winslow said in a phone conversation Monday. "She was always so reassuring and just had this way about her where if the sun was shining, you'd believe it was because of her."....Winslow, 40, died Thursday from injuries suffered when the couple's Jeep was broadsided by a gas tanker truck while making a left hand turn at the intersection of Route 6 and Route 64 in Woodbury, state police said...Jody Winslow, vice president of the Eastside Neighborhood Association, suffered several broken bones and minor injuries in the accident. He was released Sunday from Waterbury Hospital......He said details of the day the accident happened are still hazy, but he said the moment has changed his life forever.
