Newspaper article said he died at age 62 and lived at 516 Carbon Street, Pottsville, PA. He died on Sunday evening at 11:30 PM following an illness of a few days. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to the Odd Fellow's Lodge and something else that I can't read. Here it says he was born and raised in Germany, coming to this country at the age of 21. He was a miner at Pine Hill Colliery. His death was unexpected. He had worked until Thursday when he was taken seriously ill and never rallied.
A member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a fraternally a member of the I.O.U.T. and the German Benficiary Union.
It lists his children and he has 13 grandchildren. and a sister Augusta (wife of C. Belms) of Michigan
So, if he died in Oct. of 1927 and was the age of 62, then he would of been 63 in Dec. of that same year. Therefore his birthdate is 1865.
