WISCASSET — Erma R. Ames, 89, of Old Sheepscot Road died Saturday at Coves Edge in Damariscotta.
She was born in MacAdam, New Brunswick, on Aug. 10, 1920.
In 1940, she married Alton I. Ames and they resided in Vanceboro. In 1950 they moved to Wiscasset.
She was a member of The First Congregational Church of Wiscasset, the Wiscasset Senior Center and the Grand City Lunch Club.
She enjoyed her family life.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alton I. Ames in 1999.
Surviving are two sons, John A. Ames of Lakeland, Fla., and Brian E. Ames of Wiscasset; one grandson, Keith Ames of Vermont; and three great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Daigle Funeral Home, 40 Federal St., Wiscasset. A chapel service will be held at noon Thursday, at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta. Burial will follow at Maine Veterans Cemetery.
