Zach was one of five children with extended family in Fresno and Clovis. A natural athlete, Zach was an avid skateboarder and loved to water-ski and wakeboard. Zach enjoyed countless hours of camping and working on cars with his friends and family and always had a strong willingness to work. He was very close to his families and enjoyed spending time with them whenever possible. Zach's families enjoyed close relationships with many friends and he was loved as a brother and son by so many. Zach had a way with words, often surprising you with his quick sense of humor and extroverted personality.

Zach attended Clovis High School and was a wonderful friend and liked by many fellow students.

Zach will always be remembered as a loving son, a high-spirited brother, and a friend with a great sense of humor. He could always light up a room with his contagious smile and telling expressions. Zach's passing is leaving a hole in many lives that will never be filled, although we'll hold him in our hearts forever.

Zach was preceded in death by his uncle, Richard Potter.

Zach is survived by his caring father and stepmother, Jack and Sandy Armistead of Clovis; his loving mother, Kimberley Libecki and her husband Jerome of Clovis; his siblings, Jack C. Armistead II, Haylie and Colton Lewelling and Jamie Alcorn; his grandparents, Robert and Deborah Potter, Jack and Lillie Armistead, Cleo and Adele Cox, and Charlotte Libecki; his great-grandmothers, Marguerite Armistead and Ernestine Cameron; his uncles and aunts, Shannon and Mark Williquette, Jeff Armistead, Karen Crago, Mark and Katie Cox, Guy and Curtis Potter; and his cousins, Samantha Nelson, Robert, Eric and Daniel Potter, Shelby, Heather and Clayton Armistead, and Caden Cox.

A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery 305 N. Villa Ave. in Clovis on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to Children's Hospital Central Ca., Attention: Foundation, 9300 Valley Children's Place, Madera, Ca., 93636-8761 in remembrance of Zach Armistead.
