E.A. DORRIS DIES AT HENDERSONVILLE HOME
In the death of E.A. Dorris, which occurred Thursday night at his home at Hendersonville, Sumner county lost one of her wealthiest and most beloved citizens. Mr. Dorris at the time of his death was in his 86th year, and his demise was due to the infirmities of old age. He had resided all his life in Sumner county.
Mr. Dorris owned a flour mill at Shackle Island, a lumber and planing mill near Hendersonville, was a member of the firm of E.A. Dorris & Sons of this city, and was interested in a number of other substantial business enterprises.
The surviving relatives are a wife and seven sons, and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at Beech church, with Rev. W.J. Watson officiating. The Hendersonville lodge of Masons will be in charge, and other sister lodges have been invited to participate.
